Quality Control & Testing Section Head

Accountabilities:


Technical Contribution

  • Supervises and conducts test protocols to ensure the products and systems meet specified requirements and customer expectations.
  • Identifies and manages technical issues that occur and apply the standard resolution methods.
  • Drives team performance to ensure quality timely delivery as per safety standards.
  • Assists both production and engineering staff to develop new techniques and procedures as necessary to investigate the integrity of new products, or new functionality for existing products.
  • Provides feedback and advises engineering & R&D on systemic improvement opportunities in the area of design related to product produced in the operation.


Planning and control

  • Ensures that the testing team is adequately resourced, developed and equipped to meet business needs.
  • Ensures correct assignments of tasks within the team, defines relevant performance metrics.
  • Creates work plans for testing.


Risk and opportunity management

  • Ensures completion of risk and opportunity assessments and implementation of resulting actions across projects.


Supply chain management

  • Collaborates with the supply chain function to ensure correct suppliers services and equipment for all testing equipment and activities.


Technical leadership and development

  • Facilitates best practice and knowledge sharing within the testing team.
  • Develop and drives continuous improvement activities to improve processes, policies, procedures and effectiveness.


People leadership and development

  • Ensures (with HR support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
  • Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect reports within HR policies.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from Faculty of Engineering, Electrical Department
  • 4-7 Years of Experience as a Quality Control Engineer in the same industry
  • Quality Certifications and Standards Awareness
